The Wastewater Technician will serve as the general operator of the wastewater treatment system and to carry out daily duties to ensure the system is kept in good working order, as well as being responsible for the general sanitation and building and ground maintenance duties throughout the plant.
Essential Functions:
Operating the Wastewater Treatment System, GEM (Gas Energy Mixing) Systems Complete preventive maintenance and other routine calibrations on the system Experience with Hazmat chemicals and the personal protection equipment Keep wastewater treatment system and surrounding areas clean Monitor all daily analytical parameters to ensure equipment is functioning properly Responsible for chemical inventory for the wastewater pretreatment process Optimizing operation / process of the wastewater pretreatment system Review and revise standard operating procedures for the wastewater treatment system Responsible for operation and discharge of the wastewater system Complete water testing with a 3rd party lab Maintain and operate the water sampler machine Complete general building and grounds duties

Stand or sit for long periods of time.
Work in cold or wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time.
