Auto Truck Group has an outstanding opportunity for a HR Generalist - Employee Relations based in our Bartlett, IL location.
What will you do?
Support the organization to ensure proper workforce planning and alignment of roles and responsibilities.
Partner with the Global Recruitment team to develop and execute on creative recruitment/ pipeline building strategies.
Facilitate New Employee Orientations that provide a positive first experience for new employees. Collect and analyze feedback from orientations and make recommendations to continue to improve the experience.
Assist with full cycle recruiting responsibilities from creating job descriptions to hiring employees.
Support the Learning and Development efforts identified to build and support the organization.
Serve as a primary partner and consultant to leaders and employees on all employee relations issues.
Effectively balance employee and company interests to manage risks and create a positive employee relations environment.
Conduct employee exit interviews ensuring proper documentation is captured and reviewed with leaders to support an environment focused on continuous improvement.
Identify and create materials to support leaders in responding to and addressing common employee relation concerns.
Build leadership capability through facilitative partnerships surrounding effective performance management and development theory.
Administer performance appraisal program; conduct annual management training, recommend system improvements, and monitor salary adjustments to ensure compliance with policy.
Support leaders in creating IDP's for employees to continue to advance and develop employees.

Serve as a consultative partner both to employees and leadership regarding all employee leaves of absence. Maintain proper documentation and tracking of all leaves and ensure employees and leaders are well informed.
Administer compensation program; write job descriptions, evaluate positions, recommend merit adjustments, promotional increases and annual adjustments to the salary structure and complete wage/salary surveys.
Collaborate on workers compensation claims to ensure smooth transitions for any employees transferring from workers compensation to short-term disability/ FMLA.
Support the collaborate with Healthier @ Holman team to provide guidance and support on wellness programs available to Auto Truck both holistically and location specific initiatives.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred, not required
5+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Training in employment law, compensation, organization development, employee relations, safety and training preferred
Customer service orientation and effective organization and communication skills
Must be results driven with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast paced environment
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel up to 25%
Must pass a physical and criminal background check prior to employment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
